Nezar Sami, Ph.D. Fellow for the Management of Technology field. He developed the “STARS©” model for technology commercialization and the “Project & Management Interaction Model©”. He is the author of “Al-Maknaz© for Entrepreneurship” book, which is a comprehensive guide for entrepreneurs and startup companies to take their ideas and turned it into products and/or services.
Nezar has 20 years of experience in managing multi-million projects (projects’ budgets exceeded 600 million EGP) nation-wide projects in sectors such as ICT, Education, Healthcare and Banking.
Since 1997, he conducted 1000+ training courses and sessions in different Business & ICT areas including, but not limited to, Project Management, Leadership, Business Strategies, Contemporary Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, IT Service Management and others.
Since 1997, he taught courses for professionals and academic in reputable institutions including, but not limited to, Cairo University, American University in Cairo, Egyptian Banking Institute, Nile University and many others.
Nezar received the “Instructional Affairs Teaching Honor Roll” from AUC, School of Continuing Education 2005, 2006 and 2007. Also received “Certificate of Recognition” from AUC, Business School 2013, and 2014.
Nezar is the co-founder of NU100 Entrepreneurship Initiative and the Professional Services Lead. Also, he is the co-founder and vice president of the Egypt Chapter (EgyMOT) of the International Association of Management of Technology (IAMOT).
Nezar mentored new technology-based startup companies as well as teams participating in national and international business plan competitions such as MIT Arab Startup Competition, Valeo Innovation Challenge, Idea-to-Product (I2P), Made In Egypt (MIE) and others. Also, he judges for nation-wide and regional innovation and entrepreneurship competitions such as Intel Business Challenge, Intel ChallengeME, Startup Weekend, Startup Cup, MIT Arab Startup Competition and Technology Business Plan Competition (TBPC).
Nezar has reputable certifications in training, facilitation and other technical aspects including, but not limited to, DDI Certified Facilitator®, Intel Certified Ideation Master Trainer, Master Mentor Trainer for Startup Cup, Master Mentor Trainer for NU100, ITIL and others.
